Great place up in the hills of Puerto Vallarta
I give the personell an 8 but that's strictly for the manager, who actually came down to the bus station and picked me up personally (after I phoned him, while negotiating with a greedy cab driver). That was a first timer, amazing service. One of the staff (tried to) short-change me, which is alway slightly irritating. If only she'd apologised it would've been fine, but nothing. The room was spacious and the bed good. There's an OXXO and other kiosks and eateries a few blocks away.
It's far away and over the hills, literally. To begin with I thought that was a bummer, wanting to be closer to the downtown scene. However I came to realise it was actually an advantage after I took a trip downtown and saw the extreme tourist situation there (everyone talks to you in English assuming that's your first language even though sometimes you're a Norwegian!), hawaii shirts and mojitos everywhere, totally not Mexico at all. So yeah, I was happy up in the hills. Down and dirty with the locals.

not too bad if you want to be far away from he city centre
comfortable bed; receptionist was nice
- cannot contact the property using the number listed in booking.com - no hot water in my room. had to go to another floor to use the shower; I was leaving the same day and didn’t need to move rooms; was not given a partial refund for this inconvenience - the receptionist claimed they couldn’t contact the owner

Fair for the price but very far from everything
The hotel is fair for the price, stuff was very helpful helping me with luggage and information related to everything, had hot water and bed was comfortable.
Location: the hotel is Faaaar Far Away from everything, with public transport takes about 50 minutes to get to the beach (Zona Romantica). Neighbourhood doesn't seemed safe in the evening. I stayed one night, it's fair for the price. The noise from other rooms was unbearable, felt like being in a wedding, next door neighbour's music was so loud even after 11 PM that I couldn't even hear the conversation I listened to on laptop, with earplugs is fine.
